February 2017 Bozeman Area Real Estate Market Update
The 4th quarter of 2016 incidates what you already know if you've been home shopping in Gallatin County. The number of homes for sale was drastically down, while sales and prices were, generally, up.
Bozeman area real estate market reflects the very definition of supply and demand. New construction is booming and existing home sales, particularly in the $350,000 and under niche, are selling very quickly. (To views homes currently on the market in this category, click HERE.) If you have been considering selling, there's no need to wait. While mortgage rates climbed ever-so-slightly, they are still at an historical low, prompting anyone and everyone to either refinance or to purchase a home.
Bozeman is a thriving, BOOMING community. There are certainly varying opinions over our area's rapid expansion in recent years, but the bottom line is, love it or hate it, it's happening. You need not look farther than out your own back door to see why.
Bozeman happens to be pretty unique in it's culture. It's a college town, a retirement town, and a family town. It supports and, frankly, ADORES its local, small businesses while still supplying a selection of the big box stores. You will find restaurants offering Asian, Thai, Indian, Mexican, Italian, American, and everything in between within an area of 20 square miles. And let's not forget our incredible breweries! There's world class outdoor recreation for every season, national parks a stone's throw away, and a long-standing, rich history boasting tales of gold rushes and the wild west.
