Commercial Real Estate at its Finest: Wasabi Japanese Steak House

Nearly a year ago, I had the pleasure of witnessing our in-house commercial real estate sales associate, Brandi Ostwald, meet clients who would change her life. Tom and Karen Cai walked into our office with a vision and the inspiration to follow it through to the end, all he needed was someone to represent, go up to bat, and stand by him through the ups and downs of what would become a particularly exigent commercial transaction.

Brandi became that person and then some. Each month since has brought with it lurching starts and stops along with battles for one thing that is of utmost value here in Bozeman, liquor licenses. Through impeccable professionalism in conjunction with tactful negotiations, Brandi was able to secure one of the highly sought after licenses in addition to the commercial building found at 1320 N 19th Ave, Bozeman, MT for Tom.

“Having several years of commercial experience, I was confident in taking on an endeavor this size upon meeting Tom & Karen Cai for the first time in August of 2012, however not every moving part goes without the occasional snafu and this commercial investment was no exception.  The high profile location was sought after by many commercial applications and it was very timely for each potential opportunity to be explored by the Bridger Peaks Town Center owners.  Once Wasabi Japanese Steak House was positioned first to fully lease, renovate and prepare to open Gallatin Valley’s first hibachi-style restaurant, the acquisition of a liquor license to accompany my client’s full vision for his business still needed to be tackled.  It took the diligence and hard work of a plethora of professionals to make it finally come to fruition.  I couldn’t be more proud of how far my clients have remained steadfast in making their dream a reality and very honored to have been an integral part of it.  I look forward to enjoying the Japanese fare as well as taking part in my next client’s dreams come true.” Brandi Ostwald

Tom, Karen and the Wasabi staff will be opening their doors for the first time this week for their soft opening in preparation for the Grand Opening slated to take place September 22, 2013. I was lucky enough to get a glimpse of the actualization of the dream he walked into our office with.

The space emulates class, the highest attention to detail and a whole new life for the 1320 N. 19th building. Walking around with the restaurant I cannot help but glow with pride knowing the hard work that has gone into making this a reality but most of all, I am proud of the agent I am lucky enough to represent on a daily basis. Brandi Ostwald was in her home element in this commercial deal and I expect that we will see her dynamite commercial skills in action more and more as Bozeman grows and prospers.
