ISSUE: What we need to work on is getting a bigger space.
Within the last year this office has gone from two agents and one support staffer to over double that. We now employ three agents and have four support staff members who, when in the office together, get increasingly louder… and louder… and well you guessed it, even louder. The energy and atmosphere is inspirational, but the chaos of action is beginning to be a distraction too.
FIX: We have bought a new space. It is a beautifully empty slate. The design theory behind the construction has been motivated by the issues above. We are building out four office spaces, a conference room, a copy room, kitchen, and an open foyer to welcome clients into the space. This is MUCH more broken and divided compared to the relatively open space we work in currently so that will remedy the distraction of one another. The catch is that the walls are only 5’! The rest of the wall is comprised of glass so that in the separation we do not lose the consecutiveness that is so unique to our office.
