Fundraising For A Cause: Family Promise Of Gallatin Valley
--FOOD FOR A PURPOSE--
Family Promise is a nonprofit organization which has a new solution for dire homeless situations. Temporary assistance, individual case management, and warm hospitality are all offered by Family Promise who boasts an 80% success rate in changing those who are homeless to those who have the pride, safety, and security of a home.
Provided shelter and opportunities to 274 people. This includes 81 separate families, 147 children and 127 adults. We have hosted 46 babies 0-2 years, 26 preschoolers 3-5 years, 60 children ages 6-12 and 15 teens.
1,404 volunteers have completed the 2 hour Family Promise training necessary before providing direct guest services.
Currently, Family Promise will be enlisting the help of two celebrity servers, Gallatin County Sheriff Brian Gootkin and Bozeman Police Chief Ron Price, to work for Bozeman’s Bistro this upcoming Monday (04.02.12). All tips to the men will go to Family Promise.
“There is definitely a friendly competition about who can wait on the
most tables,” Gootkin said, sitting across a conference room table from Price on Thursday.
“But it doesn’t matter who wins because, ultimately, Family Promise does,” Price shot back.
